Things I did This Week
1. Forgot to pay my rent
2. Went to the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens and did photography
3. Had my first red Sangria
4. Took a day off of work
5. Almost watched my mother and $1000 go into a pond
Let me tell you that story. So today me and my mom drive to fort worth so i can take some photographs at the fort worth gardens. We walked around the japanese gardens, lovely. Then we decided to stroll around the other surrounding gardens. We walked through the rose garden which had scented jasmine and long stone walkways and found pathways that wound into some tree's. So I led the way walking on these paved trails where one went over a pond as a bridge..basically some stone rocks making a pathway over the water.
I stood there taking some shots and i have no idea why, I truly have to watch and yell at my my sometimes..lol She comes right up to me (sort of a peeve when i'm photographing) and I turn around and she..well I don't know what happened. I saw her lean forward, do the "oh oh woahhh" moah going forward into the murky pond.
Then she grabs my arm to save herself. Actually she grabbed my Canon camera..LOL then to compensate her balance she leaned backwards and whirled around to realize that there was a giant pond BEHIND her too. Clutching my arm and making the oh god noises one would expect before you tumble into a lagoon I started grappling her arm and balancing myself because she was taking me down with her!
Finally, composure regained. I glanced around wondering if anyone saw, and kind of wish they had.
You know whenever me and her go out, it's always something
I also learned a valuable lesson when going to a park.
1. Take shoes you dont mind getting dirty
2. never cross a field when there are paved walkways

Awww, it sounds like you had the most wonderful day! I loved your tale about the tumble... lol! I wish I had been there with my camera... your faces would have made the best picture ever.... hahahahahah!!!!

Getting a little adventurous with our strolls through parks now,aren't we? And where Muse goes taking pics, mom will be close enough ready to fall into a pond.
I can see a pattern here with you and your mom. Maybe you are both positively charged or something and she got thrown towards the pond the moments she got close to you.Or maybe that Canon camera you are so fond of isn't as innocent as you think. Then maybe I am losing my mind but doing it in style nevertheless:).

DP, yes muse goes walking through parks with ponds. Not a good mix..lol Just glad i made it out alive ;-)
Graham - not sure i would have had a wonderful day if I ended up doing the walk of shame back to the car with a wet camera..lol I did tell her that if she had fallen in and i managed to save the camera i might have been inclined to take shots..lol so bad i know
Pam, might have done my mom in too..lol It's ALWAYS something with us, never a normal outing. Thats the ongoing joke with us..lol :)
